The Turner Family Center for Social Ventures is committed to developing socially and environmentally conscious leaders and doers. Directed by a graduate student-led executive board, the center provides resources and opportunities to leverage and combine the individual strengths of Vanderbilt University graduate students, faculty, and business partners.

In 2015, our center was founded with the generous support of the Turner Family Foundation building on the success of Project Pyramid—a way for all Vanderbilt graduate students to leverage niche skills and contribute to narrowing the realm of poverty.
From our heavily involved student advisory board to our dedicated Director and Vanderbilt alum, Mario Avila, the Turner Family Center relies on the perspectives and commitment of many individuals to ensure growth, viability, and success.
