I am a fourth year MD/MBA student at Vanderbilt planning to become a trauma surgeon. I hope to use my business degree to address health inequities, particularly in the homeless population. My interest in social entrepreneurship began in college. I worked for two organizations that used social enterprise models- a long term healthcare facility for homeless patients and a start-up company that provides services to survivors of sex trafficking. While in Nashville, I have spent much of my free time volunteering, particularly with homeless outreach and affordable housing. My goal this year as the Campus and Community Engagement Co-Chair is to increase the reach of TFC through meaningful long-term relationships with community organizations.
