Position: Associate Director of Research & Evaluation at Ashoka U
Which TFC Programs did you participate in?
I was a member of TFC’s founding programming board in 2015-2016. I also participated in Project Pyramid in the spring of 2015 and was Director of Curriculum in 2015-2016.
Why would encourage others to get involved with the TFC?
There are so many different ways to work in and contribute to the social sector. The work of managing your own social venture will feel really different on a day to day basis than, say, leading impact evaluation work within a social sector organization.
TFC offers a great opportunity to explore the many ways you can harness the knowledge and skills you are building at Vanderbilt and scope a career path that is both aligned with your values and a good personal fit.
How did the TFC help prepare you for your current position?
As a part of Ashoka U, Ashoka’s higher education initiative, I work with colleges and universities that are establishing social impact education like what TFC offers for Vanderbilt students.
Through my work with TFC, I gained directly relevant experience in what it means to create and grow social entrepreneurship and social innovation education. I draw on what I learned with TFC every day!
