TFC Trek to Monteagle, TN! [Applications now open!]
The Turner Family Center for Social Ventures is proud to announce its first Trek in 2019. We’ll be traveling to Monteagle, TN on March 21-24 to meet with local businesses, banks, government, and more from the area. The Monteagle area is known for its natural beauty and each of groups we will meet are working to protect its beauty by building better access to finance, education, and jobs through environmental tourism.
The Trek will offer unique perspectives on how social innovators in the areas of Finance, Eco-Tourism and more are developing unique solutions to address pressing needs in their communities. This Trek will take place from the evening of Thursday, March 21 – Sunday, March 24. TFC will reimburse students for housing and transportation and students will be responsible for meals and other miscellaneous costs. The net out of pocket cost to trekkers will be roughly $100 for the four-day, three-night trip.
To join us, please complete the following short application (link: is.gd/monteagletrek) by Sunday, February 10. Students should plan to also participate in a 1.5 hour pre-trip orientation meeting and a 1.5 hour post-trip debrief meeting.
